Jonathan D. McDougall

BridgeIn 1993, I graduated from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Education. I attended Pepperdine Law School and then Widener Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, receiving a J.D. Degree in 1997.

After passing both the Pennsylvania and California Bar Exams, I was hired as the law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Smyth in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, focusing on civil litigation and family law disputes.

In March of 1998, I was hired as an Assistant District Attorney for Montgomery County, where I specialized in homicides and major narcotics prosecutions.

In November of 2000, my wife and I relocated to San Mateo County, California where James P. Fox hired me as a Deputy District Attorney. During the past four years, I have handled almost every type of criminal case, including homicides and major narcotics cases, spending the last two years in the Sexual Assault Unit.

After having left the District Attorney’s office in 2004, my practice has included cases ranging from driving under the influence to homicide, as well as sexual assaults. I have relied upon my years as a criminal prosecutor to get the best possible results for my clients.
